/*Edit*/ The artist has been chosen! Thanks to everyone who applied! There were a lot of great artists, but sadly I could only choose one.

Good. Because I am going to offer you that chance!

I have recently decided to make a sequel to Revert to Growth but sadly the original artist , l-minus-l, is busy with his own projects right now.

However, this leaves an open slot for a new talented artist to take his place!

I require a high standard of art quality and the artist that I will eventually choose must have these qualities:

-Skilled in background art and tilesets
-Skilled in animation
-Good communication skills
-Good work ethic
-Efficient production speed
-Enthusiasm about the game

I am offering either $1000 pay upon completion of the art, or a 35% revenue split of the final sponsorship price.

If you are a super ultra mega amazing flash artist/animator and are interested in being the artist for Revert to Growth 2, send me a PM indicating your interest and which payment option you'd like. Also, feel free to PM me with any questions!

I will be choosing an artist by Dec 16th, 2010 and the chosen artist will start on Dec 18th. Good luck!

Oh, hello. I didn't see you there.

I'm just sitting at home, enjoying a cup of tea celebrating

20 MILLION COMBINED GAME VIEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A big thanks to everyone who has played my games, and especially to those who enjoyed my games because I develop games for you guys. If you haven't played it already, heres my latest game:

[Visible] III

It's done pretty well, over 5 million views on its own but the whole crew downvote thing prevented it from getting a lot of exposure here on NG :(

Go play it!

Also, some news on the new game I'm working on: Fallen Hero

I decided to take a break from the platformer genre and do an RPG game that I've always wanted to make. Its my take on the JRPG and it has elements from Final Fantasy, Pokemon, and Sonny along with my own special twists.

Development has progressed slowly this past month and a half due to lack of artists but I've got my artists and they are working away on it now! The core engine is about 80% programmed and mostly waiting on animations so that I can program them into the engine. The storyline is 100% complete and the game will be 100% epic when its finally ready to be released!

My best estimate is about 3 months until total completion (sadly I'd hoped to get artists sooner but it didn't work out that way) and you can expect a private beta to open up so that I can get some testing and feedback before I put it up for sponsorship and release it to the public. I'm trying to earn the title of the best flash RPG ever made so you can expect a great RPG from me in a couple months!

Thanks to the fans of Psyflash Game Studios for helping me achieve my 20 million view milestone! Keep playing those games!

Over 20 million gameplays! And more news!

Hello Artist/Animators!

I am in the process of trying to get an artist for my next game, an RPG of epic proportions!

The game is called Fallen Hero and it's about a General who is also the heir to the throne. The night before his father publicly appoints him emperor, he is lured into an attack and is knocked unconscious. He wakes up in a canyon and is soon engaged by a guard, who calls him 'traitor'. He then sets on a quest to find out what happened and the rest is top secret ;)

The story is completely written, and I have already found an incredibly talented musician. The last thing I need before I can start is YOU!

This game is a major undertaking. The goal is to make a game that is as close to console quality as flash can produce. This will require major dedication from all parties, including the artist.

I want Fallen Hero to be a team project. This game is bigger than any one of the individuals that will be participating in it. As such, revenue will be shared between all members making the game.

If you are nervous about working for a split % of the income, I offer you this reassurance: A serious project of mine has never gone unsold, and my last game grossed over $10,000!

The revenue split I'm offering the artist is 30% of the total post-commission revenue (including in-game ads, primary and non-exclusive licenses, exclusive licenses, sales from mobile/console ports, etc).

If you are still nervous about working for a full revenue split, then I will offer this:

The secondary option is a 20% post-commission revenue split with a $1000 guaranteed payment upon completion of the game. The $1000 will be deducted from the split until the $1000 mark is reached (likely at the primary payment), but you don't risk anything by working on the game. However, I recommend that you go the 30% route as it's most likely more income. I fully expect to make more than 10k off this game (over $30k is possible), so the two routes differ quite a bit in income.

I said previously that my goal is to make this as close to 2d console quality as I possibly can. That being said, the artist will need to possess these skills:

The ability to produce high-quality anime style art in the flash environment.
The ability to produce high-quality anime style animation in the flash environment
Both frame-by-frame and tweening skills
The ability to animate high-quality effects in the flash environment.
Overall good artistic style.
The ability to be equally as passionate about the game and the game's success as the programmer, designer, and musician are.
The dedication to make the game the best it can be.
The ability to work well with members of a team, as you will no doubt be working closely with both the designer/programmer and the musician

You can send me a PM linking to you portfolio, or email me a link to your portfolio to psyflash[at]psyflashproductions[dot]co m

Feel free to PM or email me any questions or concerns you have as well.

I look forward to working with you!

Hello gents,

[Visible] III is currently set to release the week of the 12th, and I put together this little trailer to build up some excitement! Just keep in mind, this is nothing like the [Visible] you are used to. This is much more epic.

If you want to see it fullscreen, do it here:

[Visible] III Trailer on youtube.

.
/* */
The Game Design/ Programming was done by yours truly <3

The art and animation for the game was done by NG user Jhrawr (fantastic job!) <3

And last but certainly not least, the epic audio for the game (and the trailer) was done by Symphony of Specters, the best audio group ever <3

Please look forward to the game! A lot of time and hard work went into it by these talented people and we brought you a game so much better than the previous two.

But for now, this trailer will have to suffice >8(

Well, [Visible] III is about a week and a half from completion, so you should be seeing it hit the web in around 2 months (strange how that works, huh?).

Anyways, since I enjoy a good tease, here is a screenshot compilation for [Visible] III !!!

I will also have a trailer for the game coming in about 2 or 3 weeks, for more spoilery goodness!

New screenshot for [Visible] III !!!

Thread is here:

Hello Newgrounds Artists,

I have come to the point in [Visible] III's development where I can hire an artist to do the art and animations for [Visible] III.

The position is paid, with a couple different options available:

Flat fee (No Risk):

$600 upon completion of the art. As long as you complete the art and meet quality standards, you will get paid.

Flat fee with bonus (Medium Risk):

$400 upon completion of the art with a $400 bonus if any of the following occur:

-NG Frontpage for longer than 168 hours (7 days).
-Game is added to the Action collection.
-Total views overall (web-wide) exceed 2,000,000 after 30 days.
-Total NG views exceed 250,000 after 30 days.

Sponsorship split (High Risk):

20% of the initial sponsorship, plus 35% of any Non exclusive sponsorships for the first 90 days. This means while the potential for more money is higher, the risk of getting nothing at all is also there.

All of these options are for full game art as decided by me.

THE ARTIST WILL BE CHOSEN BASED ON THEIR PORTFOLIO

Here is the list of the art requirements (this is a rough estimate and is subject to change)

bg art for the menu screen (about 200 X 450px)
trophy display element (about 110 x 90 px)
trophy unlocked popup element
Upgrade Shop interface (varies depending upon design)
character animations
-run
-jump
-fall
-wall run
-ceiling swing
-death (spike & explosions)
-death (fire)
-death(electricity)
obstacle arts (listed above)
editor UI (450 x 300)
custom level selector UI (for player-made levels) (size varies depending upon design)

You can submit your work to me via PM with links to your work or pictures. Feel free to post ideas in the thread as well, but they wont count as official entries until they are PM'd to me.

I am also open to any questions you have.

Thanks, and I look forward to working with you!

Artist Needed for [Visible] III !

Posted by AethosGames - May 30th, 2010

Well it will be starting June 1st. I want to hear from you, the players, what you want included in the third and final installment of the [Visible] series. I've heard your strong pleas for a level editor and more... forgiving collision detection, which has always been a challenge with the [Visible] games. I have had a lot of practice on collision detection and have even made my own custom collision detection codes reuseable, so the succesful collision detection from my past games will be included in the third [Visible].

There are also some questions I would like to ask you, the players, as well:

-Stylistically, I liked the first [Visible]'s tutorial as a non- scrolling single screen puzzle. Would you prefer the entire game be non scrolling with more levels or scrolling with the same?

-Also, did you prefer the character more black than the second characters more grey look with green accents? Or would you prefer even more color, given the traditional silvery color scheme?

-How do you feel about character upgrades, such as upgrading invisiblity power or even special abilities like immunity to explosives?

Feel free to throw out any other suggestions that you feel would improve the game, because it's ultimately your experience with the game that makes it succesful.
