Acorns...

IN SPACE!!!

Pretty damn excellent

Considering it was made in a weekend. But overall as a game it was only alright. Without that extra time its hard to get good balancing and level design going and you end up with somewhat repetitive gameplay, but since there was a time limit I wont take too many points off. I do enjoy the dot dot dot references :D

OR...

You could not disgrace game development and actually learn to program. In any case, impressive program but if you are going to make games and you don't know how to program then either learn to program or hire a programmer.

I am a coder. I still use MMF because it's wonderful for getting things up and running quickly and can still cope with surprisingly involved projects - and besides, spending my free time in the same IDE as I do at work would quickly drive me crazy. In the real world, players of a game don't care what it's made with - they're looking at the end result.

Using environments such as these is not a disgrace to development (people said exactly the same thing about Flash and - would you believe it - the C family, when it came out) - rather, a stepping stone that can teach a lot about programming concepts, while abstracting away the more awkward basic parts that people with game ideas don't necessarily need to do for themselves.

I hate to say it

because I love the Larry series, but if it was not Jazza and not a Larry minigame, the game would only have a 3.2 - 3.6 instead of the 4.3 it has now. Great art and animation, great music, but boring gameplay.

Absolutely Stunning

This is an incredible game, good work!

It's ok.

The controls were annoying, the mouse isn't the right choice for movement of the ship since it functions for aiming as well, and the ship firing should have probably been on mouse down instead of click, it makes it seem delayed (even though thats probably what you wanted, from a player perspective its somewhat annoying).

Other than that, it was a decent game, but nothing special. Keep practicing and improving!

Great Game Berserk!!!

As always, your games are top-notch!

@Mikillen:

"just an FYI, trying to make a profit off a game makes less people want to play it"

Yes, us game developers really should spend months at a time making you players games for free, because us game developers are a special breed of human. We don't need things like food or shelter, therefore we dont need to do things like pay rent or buy food. No water or electricity for us. How dare you try to make a living by making games Berserk!!!

Good job

3D is always impressive in flash programming (I dont even dare attempt it).

The game itself is nice. The platforming is decent, but my favorite part of the game by far are the character and the enemies =)

Fun game, but with one flaw

I was really excited to see this game out, but there is one huge problem that annoyed me A LOT.

Programming-wise, there are some memory management issues that make dying turn into horrible frame dropping. 10 deaths and the game becomes slow enough to make certain stages more tedious than they should be. Though I have to admit, the 'What's on the menu' stage was GENIOUS.

Overall, good game. The memory management made it annoying at times (I dont think you are totally removing the dead elephants enterFrame code properly)

Yes!!!

Giant Turtle!!!

Great game, glad the whole thief thing was settled.
